Inter are at work trying to ensure Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku does not board the plane for the Red Devils pre-season tour in Asia according to a report from Tuttosport.

Lukaku is reportedly Inter’s number one transfer target for this transfer window and the Nerazzurri are aware that if the Belgian boards the plane, their pursuit of him will be significantly slowed down.

As things stand, it still presently looks easier for Inter to achieve a deal for Lukaku than it does for Roma striker Edin Dzeko, the Turin based newspaper go on to report.

Roma continue to demand a sum of €20 million for the 33-year-old, whose contract in the Italian capital is due to expire at the end of next season.

If the Giallorossi remain firm with their demands, Inter could go after free agent Fernando Llorente, a player manager Antonio Conte and chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta are very fond of.
