In the event of Dalbert’s departure from Inter, the ideal player to replace him is Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, at least in the eyes of Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

Dalbert is currently subject to a bid from French outfit Lyon and should he go, Darmian should be Inter’s number one priority.

Newly appointed Inter manager is a big fan of Darmian’s versatility with the former Torino player capable of playing in any position across the back four, although he is most comfortable at full back.

Conte believes that Darmian would be capable of slotting in on either side of the 3-5-2 system he intends to implement at the Nerazzurri.

Darmian has been with Manchester United since 2015 and has one year left to run on his contract with the Premier League side.

He was limited to just seven appearances across all competitions this past season and is very much out of favour at Old Trafford.
