Inter striker Mauro Icardi promised himself to Juventus months ago, at least according to a report from La Repubblica.
The Argentine’s Inter career looks to be over after the controversial events of this past season which have saw relations completely breakdown with the club.
The 26-year-old striker, who can boast a spectacular scoring record in his time at Inter, will travel with his teammates to the pre-season training camp in Lugano, Switzerland but will be doing so with the hope of soon getting his move to Inter’s arch nemesis.
In order to make a move for Icardi, Juventus however first need to find a place for Gonzalo Higuain. The striker spent last season out on loan at both Milan and Chelsea and his sale will help fund their move for Icardi.
The report goes on to state that Napoli have now ignited an interest in signing Icardi and are prepared to meet Inter’s €60-70 million demands for the troubled striker.
