Antonio Conte is determined to bring the Serie A title back to Inter during his first season in charge, according to Corriere della Sera.
The former Juventus and Chelsea boss held his first press conference yesterday and laid out his ambitions for the new campaign.
Neither Conte nor Beppe Marotta were in the mood to smile but the paper interpreted that as a sign of their concentration and ambition.
“Having seen Inter chase their dreams in vain for eight years it is understandable they would have nothing to laugh about,” they explained this morning.
“It was only the first day of school but Inter already had Conte’s determined and winning face on.
“Seeing Conte and Marotta sat next to each other is a tangible sign of their immense desire to get one over on their Juventus past.”
Conte began preseason training in Lugano this morning and will oversee his first friendly against the Swiss club on Sunday.
