Cagliari want to sign Inter youngster Felice D’Amico as part of their deal to sell Nicolò Barella, according to Sport Mediaset.

Beppe Marotta was expected to meet the Rossoblu’s owner Tommaso Giulini today as the pair visited the Lega Calcio’s headquarters in Milan.

Cagliari are now inclined to grant Barella his wish of joining the Nerazzurri, having offered significant resistance last month amid interest from Roma.

But Giulini would like to acquire 18-year-old forward D’Amico, who was on loan at Chievo during the second half of last season, as part of the deal.

D’Amico scored seven goals between in the Campionato Primavera last season, including one for Chievo against Roma in the final phase.

The teenager joined Inter from Palermo last summer and has yet to make his senior debut, which the Gialloblu would be likely to grant him.

Cagliari would accept Inter’s offer for Barella in short order if their request were met.
