Inter have indirectly helped Sochaux regain their place in Ligue 2 after they were relegated for financial irregularities last month.

The Direction Nationale du Contrôle de Gestion monitors and oversees the accounts of professional football clubs in France and upheld an appeal following the original decision.

Sochaux successfully proved their accounts were in order and, according to So Foot, the sale of Lucien Agoume to Inter for €4.5 million was pivotal to balance their books.

The 17-year-old midfielder began preseason training with the Nerazzurri today as Antonio Conte oversaw day one of their summer camp in Switzerland.

Agoume will spend the summer preparing for the 2019-20 campaign with the first team, but he will most likely play for Inter’s Primavera side this year.

He has made 11 appearances for France’s under-17 team and could join up with Les Bleus teammate Etienne Kinkoue in Milan, with Inter reportedly close to signing the centre-back as well.
