Inter hope to sign Nicolò Barella in time to include the midfielder in their preseason tour of Asia, according to Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri will play their first fixture in the International Champions Cup against Manchester United on 20 July, with the first team flying out at the start of next week.

Barella represented Italy at this summer’s European Under-21 Championships and will return from his holidays before Inter leave, provided he completes a move from Cagliari in time.

Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco also played for the Azzurrini and will come back at the same time.

Antonio Conte will have to wait until the end of July to welcome Lautaro Martinez and Miranda, although the latter is likely to leave after he was deemed surplus to requirements.

Both were playing in the Copa America until last weekend and this means Conte cannot realistically use Lautaro until Inter’s last friendly against Valencia on 10 August.

Kwadwo Asamoah was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana last night and will not return to Inter until the start of August.
