Brescia are interested in resigning Inter midfielder Rigoberto Rivas, according to Sky Sport.

Rivas spent last season on loan at Serie C side Ternana but made just 12 appearances in all competitions, missing the first half of the campaign through injury.

Massimo Cellino is looking for reinforcements after Brescia were promoted to Serie A and the 20-year-old could become one of them.

Rivas already played for the Rondinelle during the 2017-18 season, playing 15 matches under Pasquale Marino and Roberto Boscaglia.

The midfielder made his senior international debut for Honduras last month, playing 75 minutes in a 1-1 friendly draw against Paraguay.

He scored eight goals for Inter’s Primavera side before graduating from the Nerazzurri’s youth system in 2017.

Inter began preseason training under Antonio Conte on Monday and will stay in Switzerland until the weekend.

Rivas is nowhere near the first team fold, however, and is waiting for the club to find him a new destination.
