Nicolò Barella might have to wait until the start of next week before he can complete a medical with Inter, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri have agreed a deal with Cagliari for a loan worth €10 million and an obligation to buy for €30 million, which will be triggered in February once an unspecified condition is met, plus add-ons.

However, the clubs are still sorting the final details of the agreement and may not complete everything before the end of the week.

Once they are resolved Barella will sign his new contract with Inter and be officially announced as their fourth first-team signing of the summer.

Barella has agreed a five-year deal worth €2.5 million per season and there is no chance the deal will collapse at this stage.

The midfielder hopes to join Inter in time for their preseason tour of Asia, for which they will fly out next week.

He would like to wear the no. 18 shirt once he arrives at his new club, but that currently belongs to Kwadwo Asamoah.
