According to the latest reports from Tuttosport, Inter will make fresh contact with Manchester United this week to discuss the possibility of bringing Romelu Lukaku to San Siro. Indeed, Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have made no secret of their desire to give Antonio Conte the strongest possible team to work with. Besides Lukaku, there is also Edin Dzeko, whose heart is set on a move to the Nerazzurri.

However, Roma must first find a suitable replacement for the Bosnian hitman while their 18 million euro asking price is something Inter are unwilling to match given the player’s age and contractual situation.

The gap between supply and demand has been reduced to six million, but it remains to be seen whether a compromise can be reached in the coming days. Conte would desperately love to have at least one new striker with him in Asia and it seems Dzeko is the most likely candidate.
