According to the latest reports from Sport Mediaset, Mauro Icardi specifically asked to leave Inter’s training camp and it was not a decision instigated by the club in the first instance.

From tomorrow, the Argentine will train alone at Appiano Gentile with a physical trainer provided by the club. He was already supposed to be training alone in order to avoid contact with the fans and the club, hence the former Nerazzurri captain asked for permission to leave the training camp and return to Italy.

Initially, he had hoped to change Antonio Conte’s mind but it quickly became clear that this was never going to happen.

On the contrary, Radja Nainggolan was allowed to participate in tactical exercises yesterday and this reportedly influenced Icardi’s decision to return to Milan. Now it remains to be seen how the Rosario native and Wanda Nara will react to the tough stance adopted by the club.
