Jose Mourinho has piled the pressure on new Inter coach Antonio Conte by claiming Inter must win the Scudetto this year. The former Nerazzurri boss spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport as a guest of Ferrari during yesterday’s GP qualifying at Silverstone. Here is what he had to say: “I really miss football. I miss the adrenaline, the pitch, my job. Football is football.
“Predictions for the season ahead? Inter must win this year. Sure.” The Portuguese was then asked about what he is doing now in his spare time as he awaits a return to the dugout: “Right now I’m studying German because it’s the only language I do not speak. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. Of course, I do not exclude the possibility of working in the Bundesliga, I do not exclude anything. Italy? It is always a splendid country.”
And so it remains to be seen whether Mourinho will take a sabbatical or be tempted back into club management over the course of the campaign ahead.
