Juventus are plotting their first bid for out-of-favour Inter striker Mauro Icardi according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are set to make a first offer of between €35-40 million, which falls some way short of Inter’s €60 million evaluation of the forward, who has a €110 million release clause within his contract with the club.

Juventus officials have already informed their Inter counterparts that they have zero interest in a swap deal involving the 26-year-old with Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain both having been mentioned as possible swap deal inclusions.

They are currently biding their time and waiting on the right moment to strike for the Argentine, who has been told he is no longer part of the plans going forward at the Nerazzurri.

This past season, Icardi made 37 appearances across all competitions. In his near 3000 minutes on the field, the former Barcelona youth player netted 17 goals and provided five assists for teammates.
