Manchester United’s €80 million attempt to land Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has proved unsuccessful with Lazio standing firm with their demands according to a report from broadcaster Sky Sport.
The Italian capital city club continue to demand a sum of €100 million to part ways with the Spanish-born Serbian international, who has drawn links to a host of clubs, including fellow Serie A outfit Inter.
The midfielder is widely regarded as one of the top up-and-coming midfielders not just in Italy but on the planet and with Paul Pogba potentially leaving United, it is understandable why they are targetting the 24-year-old as his possible replacement.
Milinkovic-Savic has been on the books of Lazio since 2015 and is under contract with the club for a further four seasons until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
This past season he made 41 apperances across all competitions for the Biancocelesti. In just over 3000 minutes on the field, he scored seven goals whilst he provided three assists for his teammates.
