Inter have made Manchester United a new €67 million pluses bonuses offer for Romelu Lukaku, as reported by Sky Sports News early this morning.
Piero Ausilio met the Red Devils’ transfer officials in London last week and was told Inter must pay more than €88 million to secure the Belgian striker.
Inter’s bonuses will move them closer to United’s asking price, but it was not specified how much they would be worth and how they would be triggered.
The big question on Sky’s reporters’ lips this morning was whether this offer would be enough to convince United to sell.
Lukaku is continuing preseason training with United as they prepare to face Inter in Singapore on Saturday.
Antonio Conte is known to be very keen to sign the 26-year-old, having already tried to sign him for Chelsea two summers ago.
Inter flew out to Singapore this afternoon ahead of their preseason tour in Asia, but it remains to be seen whether or not Lukaku will be among their ranks when they return.
