Inter are continuing to monitor Eintracht Frankfurt’s Ante Rebic as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko, according to Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri are still working on a deal for Lukaku but talks with Manchester United are proving difficult.

Dzeko appears easier to sign because Roma’s bargaining position is weak, but no breakthrough has been made yet.

Rebic would cost €40 million but Inter remain keen on the Croatian international, who could provide Antonio Conte with versatility up front.

Roma are expected to fold eventually in their talks for Dzeko, considering the Bosnian has already entered the final year of his contract.

The Giallorossi would risk losing the 33-year-old for free next summer if they kept him, and doing so could also cause unrest in the dressing room given Dzeko wants to leave.

Inter are offering €12 million but that remains €8 million short of Roma’s asking price, which Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio do not intend to meet.
