George Puscas has been included in Antonio Conte’s squad for Inter’s preseason tour in Asia, as Gianluca Di Marzio anticipated earlier.

The Romanian striker completed a series of medical tests in Rome on Tuesday morning and will join the Nerazzurri as they fly to Singapore this afternoon.

Conte has very few attacking options available to him given Matteo Politano’s thigh injury and Lautaro Martinez’s extended summer holidays.

Mauro Icardi could have been brought back into the fold in a bid to make up the numbers, but Puscas will fill the vacancy instead.

The youngster scored nine goals for Palermo last season and was due to be signed on a permanent basis, but the Rosanero went bankrupt last month and defaulted on their payment.

Inter must therefore find a new destination for Puscas, who graduated from their academy back in 2015.

Puscas impressed at last month’s European Under-21 Championships, scoring four goals as Romania unexpectedly reached the semi-finals.
