Inter will make Manchester United a new offer worth €67 million plus bonuses for Romelu Lukaku this week, according to Sky Sports News.

The Nerazzurri want payment to be split across two or three years because that would make it easier to meet the Red Devils’ asking price.

Piero Ausilio met United officials for talks last week and was told Inter would have to cough up more than the £79 million they paid to sign Lukaku in 2017.

“Inter’s new offer is an improvement on their initial two-year loan request with installments of £9m, £27m and £27m to be paid in consecutive years,” Paul Gilmour reported.

“Sky has been told officials at the Italian club are mindful the English transfer deadline is just over three weeks away and believe United will want time to sign a replacement.”

Inter will play United in Singapore on Saturday and it is unlikely Lukaku will have completed a move before then.

The Belgian is continuing preparation with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side following last weekend’s victory against Perth.
