Borja Valero’s Agent Plays Down Fiorentina Talk: “He’s Fully Concentrated On Inter”

Borja Valero’s agent tonight played down fresh talk suggesting the midfielder could return to Fiorentina.

Gianluca Di Marzio earlier reported the Viola had met Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio to revive negotiations, after their interest hit a dead end last month.

Alejandro Camano insisted he had not spoken to anyone but did not rule out a move, admitting Valero will always have a soft spot for Fiorentina.

“Borja is very happy to be at Inter and he still has one year left on his contract,” Camano told FcInter1908.it.

“We’ve not received any contact from Fiorentina but Borja is at home in Florence and wants the best for the club and the city.”

Camano was also asked about Inter’s new boss Antonio Conte and did not seem worried his client might not play much for the Italian.

“He’s one of the best coaches in the world and Borja is fully concentrated on Inter,” he added.

Valero arrived in Singapore with the rest of Inter’s first team yesterday, as the Nerazzurri prepare for their preseason tour in Asia.

It remains to be seen whether he will still be a part of the club when Conte’s side return to Europe on 28 July, though.
