Inter forward Samuele Longo is in advanced talks ahead of a move to Deportivo La Coruna, Spanish media confirmed today.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Monday that the 27-year-old was close to securing a sixth loan spell in Spain, having spent the first half of last season playing for Huesca.

The news has now been backed up by La Voz de Galicia, who said Longo was one of the names Depor were considering up front.

“Inter have not yet revealed what plans they have for the player, but it’s unlikely Longo will be part of Antonio Conte’s squad for this season,” the newspaper said this morning.

Longo scored one goal in 15 appearances for Huesca last season, before leaving in January to play for Cremonese in Serie B.

Inter’s former Primavera star has also had spells with Verona, Frosinone and Cagliari but no club has ever wanted to make a permanent investment in him.

Deportivo looked set to earn promotion to La Liga in June after beating Mallorca 2-0 in the first leg of their playoff final, but a 3-0 loss means they will be back in the Segunda again this year.
