Inter were handed a boost in their bid to sign Ante Rebic today after Eintracht Frankfurt’s head coach admitted they were ready to sell the forward.

The Croatian international scored 10 goals in all competitions last season and is reportedly the Nerazzurri’s Plan B if they cannot secure Romelu Lukaku.

Adolf Hutter did little to quash the rumours when discussing Rebic’s future earlier on Thursday.

“Ante is a player any coach would want to have in their side,” Hutter was quoted as saying by Kicker.

“The decision is his: he can either stay here or change club. We’ll be prepared if he leaves.”

Eintracht have already sold Luka Jovic and Sebastian Haller this summer, both of whom helped the Bundesliga club defeat Inter in the last 16 of the Europa League last year.

“A transfer window this long is a real ordeal for us coaches,” Hutter admitted.

Gianluca Di Marzio last night reported Inter had met Rebic’s agent Fali Ramadani, as they continue to seek alternatives to Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri have not lost hope of signing the Belgian but Manchester United appear to be driving a hard bargain for now.
