Romelu Lukaku’s move from Manchester United to Inter is considered a formality by bookmakers in England, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Inter remain cautious as they continue talks for the Belgian forward, with the Red Devils asking for a fee in the region of €83 million.
The club’s prudence is not shared by various betting companies, however, with Lukaku’s arrival in Milan quoted as low as 1.16 or 1.29.
United will play Inter in the International Champions Cup on Saturday and it remains to be seen whether he will return to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
Antonio Conte had seemingly hoped to sign the 26-year-old before preseason training began last week, but negotiations are proving extremely tough.
Piero Ausilio met United officials in London last week and was reportedly told that Inter would have to cough up more than the £79 million (€88 million) the Red Devils paid in 2017, when they signed Lukaku from Everton.
Lukaku scored 15 goals in all competitions last season as United finished sixth in the Premier League and reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
He was influential in the last 16 win over Paris Saint-Germain in March, scoring twice in a 3-1 victory at the Parc des Princes.
