Lazio could move for Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini if they sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, according to Corriere della Sera.
The Serbian international is valued at €80 million and his departure would deprive the Biancoceleste of physicality and aerial prowess.
Simone Inzaghi would want a strong and tall player to replace him and has identified Gagliardini as a suitable replacement.
The former Atalanta man is 188cm in height and made an excellent start to his career at Inter, before losing his form in the two successive seasons.
Inter are one of the sides linked with a move for Milinkovic-Savic, who also has interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
The 24-year-old contributed five goals and three assists last season as Lazio finished eighth in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia.
Milinkovic-Savic joined the club from Genk in 2015 and has gone on to make 163 appearances in the capital, scoring 31 goals.
He scored the opening goal in last year’s Coppa Italia final, as Lazio snatched a 2-0 win late on against Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico.
