Inter have revived their interest for Matteo Darmian after meeting the Manchester United defender’s agent at their offices today.

FcInterNews.it reported the Nerazzurri held a 20-minute transfer summit with Tullio Tinti, Manuel Montipò and Fausto Pari, in which three player’s futures were discussed.

In addition to the discussions for Darmian, Inter made progress in their bid to secure loan deals for Davide Grassini and Samuele Longo, who will join Ravenna and Deportivo La Coruna respectively.

Darmian made just five league starts for United last season but could only join if Inter found a buyer for Dalbert.

Longo has already played for five clubs in Spain and the 27-year-old is about to secure a sixth loan spell with Depor.

Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano, Girona, Tenerife and Huesca have all had the forward on their books but none have been willing to make a permanent investment.

Grassini made 36 appearances in all competitions for Inter’s Primavera side last year, scoring once in a 2-0 win against Cosenza in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

The right-back played 32 minutes of the Campionato Primavera final last month, as Armando Madonna’s side lost 1-0 to Atalanta.
