Fernando Llorente’s agent has confirmed Inter are interested in signing the former Tottenham forward.

Llorente helped Spurs reach the Champions League final last season but became a free agent last month when his contract expired.

Tuttosport linked Inter to the Spaniard a few weeks ago as a potential alternative to Romelu Lukaku or Edin Dzeko.

“Fiorentina are certainly an option for Fernando as they have expressed interest, but so have various other clubs in Serie A, where he is held in high esteem,” Llorente’s brother and agent Jesus told Calciomercato.com yesterday.

“Other teams have made approaches as well and this is very pleasing for us. We’ve received offers from clubs all around Europe and we’ll see what happens.”

Antonio Conte has already coached Llorente when the pair worked together at Juventus in the 2013-14 season.

The former Athletic Bilbao star scored 18 goals in all competitions during that campaign and would represent a low-cost option if Lukaku is unobtainable.

Conte will hope Inter can at least sign one forward soon, as he continues to work with reserves and youngsters during the preseason tour in Asia.
