Inter are not pursuing a move for Lazio’s €80 million-rated midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Corriere della Sera.
Antonio Conte needs an extra reinforcement in the middle with Joao Mario, Borja Valero and Radja Nainggolan all due to depart.
The Serbian is not a target they are currently interested in, though, despite Beppe Marotta’s previous attempts to sign him for Juventus.
Inter can count upon Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella and Lucien Agoume in midfield at present, a selection the paper described as ‘not enough’.
Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Juventus are interested in signing Milinkovic, whose price tag has dropped in the last twelve months.
The 24-year-old contributed five goals and three assists last season as Lazio finished eighth in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia.
Milinkovic-Savic joined the club from Genk in 2015 and has gone on to make 163 appearances in the capital, scoring 31 goals.
Earlier this week, Corriere reported Simone Inzaghi would want Gagliardini as a replacement if he left.
