Inter’s talks with Roma to sign Edin Dzeko could soon include Danilo D’Ambrosio and Alessandro Florenzi as well, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri are desperately looking for a striker to give to Antonio Conte, who has very limited options during the club’s tour in Asia this week.
Roma are considering offloading Florenzi, who played at right-back in Paulo Fonseca’s first game in charge last week, and would happily include him in a deal for Dzeko.
The Giallorossi’s sporting director Gianluca Petrachi is a big admirer of D’Ambrosio, however, and could ask for the experienced Italian in return.
Roma have prioritised signing a centre-back for the moment and are keenly following Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, but they are also seeking a right-back.
Napoli’s €20 million-rated Elseid Hysaj is a profile they are monitoring but Petrachi would need to find a buyer for Florenzi, who spent two years playing under Antonio Conte with the Italian national team.
Florenzi has yet to receive any enticing offers and it seems Inter are a destination worth bearing in mind.
Inter began talks with D’Ambrosio over a new deal earlier this summer, but no such renewal has been agreed yet.
The 30-year-old’s contract is currently to expire in 2021.
