Diego Godin and Matias Vecino joined Inter’s first-team on their preseason tour of Asia today.

Both had their summer holidays delayed by their participation in last month’s Copa America, which saw Uruguay reach the quarter-finals before being knocked out by Peru.

Godin arrives on a free transfer from Atletico Madrid and will begin his fight for a place in Antonio Conte’s back three.

Vecino was an integral part of Luciano Spalletti’s side last season and will hope to remain just as important under Inter’s new boss.

The pair landed in Suning’s home city of Nanjing on Sunday afternoon, several hours before the rest of the squad arrived.

Inter will face their arch rivals Juventus there in the International Champions Cup on Wednesday.
