Inter Will Resume Talks With Roma For Dzeko On Friday

Inter will revive their talks with Roma for Edin Dzeko when Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio return to Italy on Friday, according to Tuttosport.

Antonio Conte’s priority up front remains Romelu Lukaku but he is also anxiously awaiting developments regarding the Bosnian.

Dzeko agreed personal terms with Inter a long time ago but the clubs remain someway apart on their valuations, with €20 million on one side and €12-13 million on the other.

The Nerazzurri are likely to reach a deal soon for €15 million, bonuses included, thus granting Conte’s request to sign a centre-forward immediately.

Inter have not closed the agreement for Dzeko yet because they have been unwilling to set off a domino effect among Serie A’s top strikers, which would aid Juventus in their pursuit for Mauro Icardi.

The club no longer have the freedom to care about such problems, though, and will aim to bring Dzeko in as quickly as possible.

Marotta and Ausilio have flown out to Nanjing for a transfer summit with the rest of Inter’s hierarchy, where they could discuss a move for another midfielder.

Radja Nainggolan will need to be sold in order to finance another signing in the middle of the park, but the Ninja is unlikely to move to China after his wife revealed she was battling cancer.

Inter will continue monitoring their options for the Belgian and could make a move for Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal if Nainggolan leaves.

The Chilean international worked with Conte for three years at Juventus and struck up a successful working relationship there.
