Eder: “Conte’s Achievements Speak For Themselves, Inter Are In Good Hands”

Former Inter striker Eder has tipped recently appointed Antonio Conte to be a success at Inter.

“I have known both Conte and Oriali for a while. I am crazy about Conte but my words mean little as his achievements during his career speak for themselves,” he admitted in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“Some of his key qualities is consistency, the ability to motivate everyone, his tactical intelligence and character. With him, players are well placed to be strong.”

The Italo-Brazilian, then spoke on Inter’s title credentials for the coming season.

“I don’t know if they will be able to overcome Juventus because the gap in these years has been great, but certainly the Bianconeri from now on will have to work even more. With Conte, Inter are in good hands.”

Last night’s dinner allowed Eder to catch-up with some of his former Inter teammates and he added: “I speak to them on the phone often from Joao Mario to Miranda, passing through to Perisic and Dalbert and some others.

“President Zhang and Marotta were very nice to invite me along and I came willingly. I told them that I always cheer for Inter and that I wish them the best.”

He concluded by sharing his thoughts on his time in China.

“It has been very good from day one. I have scored a lot and served many assists. I have been here for a year and I assure you that you live well. I could not ask for anything more.”
