Inter will not sign both Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku during the Summer transfer window according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri will sign one of the Bosnian and Belgian and then sign another striker with club management having plenty names in mind.

Inter are waiting on Roma to get a deal done for Gonzalo Higuain in the hope that it will open things up for them on the Dzeko front.

Talks have been ongoing between the clubs for some time but it is understood that there is still some distance between the two clubs.

As for Lukaku, Inter submitted an offer totalling €60 million and will struggle to go any higher than that. Should Mauro Icardi be sold, it could allow for Inter to raise their offer so to meet Manchester United’s high demands.

Including a player in the deal could well help Inter’s cause but Manchester United would obviously have to accept the player on offer.

In terms of other options, Lille’s Rafael Leao is a player Inter’s management particularly like. Duvan Zapata is another name that has been thought about but Leao is believed to be favoured due to him being a lot younger and in all likelihood cheaper too.

Paris St. Germain star Edinson Cavani is also in Inter’s thoughts but the club must weigh up all the costs attached to the Uruguayan forward.
