Inter are close to finalizing the signing of Bosnian international striker Edin Dzeko from AS Roma, at least according to Italian media outlet Il Messaggero.

According to the report, there is a sensation that the two clubs are now eager to find an agreement for the former Manchester City and Wolfsburg striker. This following a long period of standoff, where the Giallorossi refused to budge from their asking price of €18-20 million, and the Nerazzurri refusing to go beyond their offer of €12 million.

However, now, Il Messagero reports, the news coming from the negotiations suggest that an agreement could be found sooner rather than later at around €15 million.

Edin Dzeko signed for Roma in August 2015 in a deal worth €15 million in total including the transfer fee as well as all add-ons.

The Bosnian international striker has since joining the club, featured 179 times across all competitions for the Giallorossi scoring 87 times in the process.
