Cristiano Ronaldo was confident Juventus did enough today to deserve their International Champions Cup victory over Inter.

CR7 scored a second-half equaliser for the Bianconeri after Matthijs De Ligt’s early own goal had put Antonio Conte’s side in front.

Juventus went on to secure a 4-3 victory on penalties in Nanjing and their Portuguese superstar felt it was a fair reward for their performance.

“It’s a pleasure to be here, the fans are fantastic supporting me and Juventus,” Ronaldo told Sportitalia.

“Inter are fantastic and they have a great coach, so it’s a pleasure to play these in matches. We played well, especially in the second half, and we deserved to win.”

Inter’s final match of their preseason tour in Asia will take place against Paris Saint-Germain in Macao on Saturday.

The Nerazzurri will then return to Europe to face further prestige matches against Tottenham and Valencia, with the new Serie A campaign due to start on 24 August.
