Dalbert appears to have ruled out a departure from Inter this summer after saying he hoped to play more for the Nerazzurri under Antonio Conte.

The Brazilian started the 1-1 draw with Juventus in the International Champions Cup today, which saw the Bianconeri prevail 4-3 on penalties.

Luciano Spalletti restricted him to just 11 league appearances last season, but Dalbert is hopeful Conte’s 3-5-2 system will help him regain credit.

He told Inter TV: “I’m adapting well to the new system because it’s more suited to me than the previous one. I can attack a lot without defending much.

“I’m learning a lot in the defensive side of my game as well, though, and I hope to play more now.

“We’re definitely on the right track under Conte. We’re working hard during the week and I hope I can do well this season.”

Dalbert also assured he wasn’t surprised by Inter’s support in Nanjing on Wednesday, reminding his interviewer how there were fans who cheer for the Nerazzurri all around the world.

Inter’s final preseason match on their Asian tour will take place in Macao on Saturday, when Conte’s side play Paris Saint-Germain.
