Inter are hoping to secure a double deal with Monaco for unwanted defenders Miranda and Dalbert, according to Tuttosport.

Miranda has rejected several offers from clubs in China and recently received an approach from the principality, as Jorge Mendes seeks a more palatable destination.

Dalbert could join the former Atletico Madrid defender in moving to France, though, with his entourage planning to meet Monaco in the coming days.

Both players fell further down Inter’s defensive pecking order last season as Luciano Spalletti preferred Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah.

Inter’s summer recruitment campaign has hit the blocks recently after the arrivals of Diego Godin, Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella and Valentino Lazaro.

This is mostly because the club have failed to offload any of the players Antonio Conte does not want, thus ensuring their budget has dried up.

Romelu Lukaku is a fine example of the problems caused by not selling, with the Belgian likely to be denied his move to Inter because of Mauro Icardi’s ongoing situation.
