Romelu Lukaku will miss Manchester United’s preseason friendly against Tottenham tomorrow because he is still not fit enough to play, according to the Red Devils’ manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Belgian has not featured in any of United’s first three prestige matches after reportedly picking up an ankle knock in training.

Most have interpreted the absences as a sign of his impending departure to Inter, but Solskjaer did not see it that way.

“Lukaku has been working with a physiotherapist in the last few days so I don’t think he’ll make it tomorrow,” the Norwegian told reporters in his pre-match press conference today.

“It’s not a serious problem. If it were more serious we would have sent him home.”

Inter lost to United on Saturday when Mason Greenwood struck late on to seal a 1-0 win.

Antonio Conte’s side will face Juventus later today as they seek their first win in this summer’s International Champions Cup.
