Mauro Icardi will only move from Inter to Juventus this summer if Gonzalo Higuain agrees to join Roma, according to Tuttosport.

The Bianconeri are seeking buyers for Higuain, Moise Kean, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic with the intention of selling two.

Offloading a third of that quartet would enable the club to pursue Icardi with more freedom, but Higuain is reluctant to accept a move to the capital.

Kean has plenty of offers both from Italy and abroad while Dybala yesterday told the club he was willing to consider a future elsewhere.

Inter also have interest from Napoli for Icardi and the Partenopei are gaining ground as Juventus wait to make their move.

Beppe Marotta would much rather sell their former captain to Aurelio De Laurentiis instead of Andrea Agnelli, not least because Napoli would be willing to make an offer now.

Icardi remains hopeful he can join Juventus but the Bianconeri’s desire to play for time could convince him to reconsider.

Both him and Higuain are contributing to thwart Edin Dzeko’s move from Roma to Inter, with the Giallorossi yet to secure a replacement for the Bosnian.
