Image Rights Issue Holding Up Inter Striker Icardi’s Potential Napoli Move

An issue with image rights is what is holding up Mauro Icardi’s potential Summer transfer window switch from Inter to fellow Serie A outfit Napoli according to a report from Tuttosport.

The Argentine striker has been in frequent contact with Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli regarding a possible move to the Stadio San Paolo and it is understood that the problem relates to a clause in Icardi’s contract with sponsors Nike.

The Turin based newspaper go on to detail that the 26-year-old does not wish to give up the clause in question.

Despite being told he has no future by the club in many occasions lately, reports in recent days have suggested that former Inter captain Icardi has the desire to try and ressurect his career with the club.

He joined in 2013 from Sampdoria and has scored an impressive 124 goals in 219 competive appearances for the club, 17 of which came during the course of last season.
