Antonio Conte has already made significant strides towards building the Inter side he wants, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri put in an impressive performance against Juventus in Nanjing yesterday, despite ultimately losing out on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
The paper assured Conte he would have less to worry about than Maurizio Sarri if the new Serie A season began tomorrow.`
“Inter were happily expressing Conte’s style of play yesterday,” Alberto Polverosi reported.
“You can see Conte has been working on the defence, on Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic’s movement off the ball and on Antonio Candreva and Dalbert’s work out wide.
“Playing Ivan Perisic as a second striker was also a good temporary idea, as Inter wait for one or perhaps two forwards to arrive.”
Perisic is not used to playing in the centre of the pitch but Polverosi was confident he could become a ‘precious resource’ for Conte with time.
Inter will finish their summer tour of Asia on Saturday, when they will play Paris Saint-Germain for the International Super Cup in Macao.
