Joao Mario has been offered to Lazio owner Claudio Lotito as Inter seek a buyer for the midfielder, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Jorge Mendes is set to become the player’s agent again and he is on strong terms with the Biancoceleste’s president.

Mario was recently linked with Monaco, along with fellow Inter outcasts Miranda and Dalbert.

The 26-year-old could only return to Sporting Lisbon if he went back to his native Portugal, due to a clause in his Nerazzurri contract.

Inter signed Mario in a deal worth more than €40 million back in 2016, before bringing in Gabriel Barbosa in the same week.

Neither player has managed to justify their price tags since, though, and Antonio Conte is counting upon neither this season.

Mario spent the second half of the 2017-18 season on loan with West Ham after Luciano Spalletti discarded him quickly.

Spalletti also sent the Portuguese international home from training towards the end of last season, having spotted what he felt was a lack of commitment.
