Roma Considering New Contract Offer For Inter Target Edin Dzeko

Roma could scupper Inter’s bid to sign Edin Dzeko by offering the Bosnian a new deal in the capital, according to Sky Sport.

Inter remain keen to sign Dzeko but their €12 million offer is a long way short of Roma’s €20 million asking price.

The 33-year-old’s contract expires next summer and reports throughout the summer have suggested he would refuse to renew.

Antonio Conte is by no means guaranteed to sign the forward, though, with talks still on standby for the moment.

Inter have not lost hope of signing Romelu Lukaku either and are preparing a new offer for Manchester United.

United still want €83 million to sell the Belgian and will probably want a deal finalised next week, given they have limited time to find a replacement before the Premier League transfer window shuts on 8 August.

The Nerazzurri are contemplating how they should structure their fresh bid but it is most likely to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Lukaku missed all four of Manchester United’s preseason friendlies during their tours in Australia and Asia, but time is running out for the 26-year-old to join up with Conte in Milan.
