George Puscas could be set for a return to his native Romania after the forward was linked with CFR Cluj today.
The Inter striker joined Antonio Conte’s side for their preseason tour in Asia last weekend, but he has already returned home to finish his summer holidays.
Sport.ro reported Cluj were preparing an offer for Inter, which would most likely be a loan deal.
“It’s time for me to decide whether I should leave and where to go, but we’ll wait and see what happens because I don’t know anything,” Puscas said.
“For the moment I want to spend a bit of time with my family, but this summer’s under-21 Euros have certainly given me more confidence.
“I’ll be more sure of myself when I play club football again this season.”
Puscas scored four goals for Romania as they reached the semi-finals of the championships last month, before losing to Germany in a thrilling semi-final.
The 23-year-old played the second half of Inter’s International Champions Cup draw against Juventus on Wednesday, before scoring a penalty in the subsequent 4-3 shootout defeat.
He was due to join Palermo on a permanent deal in June, but the Rosanero defaulted on their payment after going bankrupt.
