Lautaro Martinez will begin preseason training with his Inter teammates at Appiano Gentile on Tuesday, according to Corriere dello Sport.
El Toro scored twice at last month’s Copa America and helped Argentina reach the semi-finals, where they were beaten by Brazil in a controversial fixture.
His summer holidays were therefore delayed and this forced him to miss Inter’s preseason tour in Asia.
However, Antonio Conte will finally get the chance to start working with Lautaro after the first team resume following two days off.
Inter will welcome Etienne Kinkoue to the club 24 hours before that, with the 17-year-old defender due to complete a medical on Monday.
Kinkoue has made four appearances for France’s under-17 side and arrives from Ligue 2 side Troyes, whom he helped to the play-off semi-finals last year.
Edin Dzeko could take a little longer to arrive than Kinkoue, although various reports on Saturday suggested a breakthrough with Roma could be made this week.
Conte wants the Bosnian in training as quickly as possible, but for now he will have to make do with the returning Lautaro.
