Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is poised for an extremely busy afternoon of transfer talks in Milan, as Corriere della Sera reported this morning.

Antonio Conte wants his squad completed as quickly as possible and Marotta must sign two centre-forwards to grant that wish.

Talks with Roma for Edin Dzeko will resume today, as Inter prepare a new offer of €15 million plus bonuses.

But Marotta will also meet Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis to talk Mauro Icardi, as well as the Partenopei’s forward Arkadiusz Milik.

Inter hope their fresh bid for Dzeko will finally convince Roma to sell, as Gianluca Petrachi continues to hold out for €20 million.

Negotiations for Icardi with Napoli are more complex, though, because Inter want €70 million and are not interested in signing Milik as a makeweight.

Romelu Lukaku remains a target for the Nerazzurri but the club cannot afford to waste too much more time on the Manchester United forward.

Juventus are determined to sign Lukaku by swapping him with Paulo Dybala, forcing Inter to weigh up Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani as an alternative.
