Juventus are more worried about Antonio Conte’s new-look Inter side than Napoli for this season’s Serie A title fight.

That is the view of one former Bianconeri defender, at least, who won three league titles in Turin under Massimiliano Allegri.

Patrice Evra announced his retirement from football on Monday and had no doubts who would pose his former club the greatest challenge.

Evra told Gazzetta dello Sport: “If there’s one team they’re really afraid of in Turin, it’s Inter and not Napoli.

“This season, with an excellent coach like Antonio Conte in charge, who worked wonders with the Italian national team, the battle for the Scudetto will be fascinating.”

Evra also had his say on Juve and Inter’s transfer battle for Romelu Lukaku, following the Old Lady’s approach to Manchester United last week.

“I don’t know where he’ll go but I’d always encourage him to join Juventus,” the defender added.
