Antonio Conte is worried his bid to sign Romelu Lukaku for Inter will end the same way as it did in 2017, when he tried to bring the Belgian to Chelsea.
Lukaku made a commitment to the Blues two summers ago but was persuaded to change his mind in a phone call with Manchester United’s former manager Jose Mourinho.
Inter risk losing out to Juventus in the race for the Belgian, with speculation intensifying over a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.

Inter is Romelu Lukaku’s preferred destination, but Antonio Conte can’t still rule out the 2017 scenario when Jose Mourinho convinced Big Rom in a phone call to ditch Chelsea and join Man United instead. Inter simply have to pay up. Juventus are sniffing around. #mufc pic.twitter.com/ARy5qb5m8E
