Inter are considering offering their academy forward Edoardo Vergani to Roma for the second time, as the clubs continue to negotiate for Edin Dzeko.

Sport Mediaset reported the news earlier on Tuesday, suggesting the 18-year-old could help the parties make a breakthrough in their never-ending talks.

Roma have yet to be convinced by the latest €15 million offer Inter made yesterday, but including Vergani in the deal might soften their position.

Inter’s transfer market is becoming increasingly difficult as both Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku begin to move away from the Nerazzurri.

Lukaku has been Antonio Conte’s primary transfer target up front since the start of the summer, but the Belgian now appears destined to join Juventus.

The Bianconeri seemed to be doing little more than disrupting Inter’s transfer activity when they approached Manchester United a month ago, but it has since become clear they are very much serious.

United are in talks with the Old Lady over the idea of swapping Lukaku for Paulo Dybala, with an undisclosed extra fee in Juve’s favour.

Dybala will discuss his future with Maurizio Sarri on Thursday and at that point it will become much clearer whether or not he will leave the club.
