Ivan Rakitic is keen on a move to Inter after Barcelona placed the midfielder on the transfer market, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.

Rakitic reiterated his desire to stay with Barca last week but the La Liga champions have no intention to extend his contract, which expires in 2021.

The Croatian international is available for around €50 million this summer, with Inter and Manchester United both said to be interested.

Barca are not convinced the Nerazzurri would have enough money to agree a deal, but Rakitic prefers them to United following the arrival of Antonio Conte as head coach.

United do not currently have enough funds to sign the 2018 World Cup runner-up either, but the scenario would change if they sold Paul Pogba.

Inter have been interested in Rakitic for a long time, but Suning are yet to make a serious move as Financial Fair Play is slowing them down.

Rakitic scored five goals and created 10 assists for Barca last season, as Ernesto Valverde’s side won another Spanish title and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
