Inter have agreed a deal with Fiorentina to send Radja Nainggolan on loan, according to Sky Sport.
The Viola are very optimistic the move will go through and have also reached an agreement on personal terms with the midfielder.
Daniele Prade met Nainggolan’s agent Alessandro Beltrami yesterday and received confirmation the Belgian would be happy to join Fiorentina.
This was the biggest obstacle for Fiorentina to overcome, and that means it is now likely the deal will get over the line.
Nainggolan, who earns €4.5 million annually with Inter, was linked with a return to Cagliari last week, but the Rossoblu’s owner Tommaso Giulini recently dismissed the reports as ‘fantasy football’.
Antonio Conte will exclude the 31-year-old from Inter’s next preseason friendly on Sunday, when the Nerazzurri face Tottenham in the International Champions Cup.
Nainggolan endured a difficult debut campaign in Milan, scoring seven goals amid injury problems and disciplinary issues, and it seems his career at San Siro is already over.
Both him and Mauro Icardi are out of Conte’s plans for the 2019-20 season.
