Edin Dzeko’s move from Roma to Inter is merely a matter of time, according to the Nerazzurri’s former midfielder Evaristo Beccalossi.

Inter submitted an improved €15 million offer on Monday but the Giallorossi appear hellbent on receiving €20 million for the Bosnian.

Dzeko has agreed personal terms with Inter and is reportedly adamant he will not sign a new deal in the capital.

Beccalossi, who won the 1979-80 Serie A title with Inter, told Sportitalia: “I’m convinced Dzeko will arrive. I don’t think the €5 million difference between the clubs is the problem.

“Inter will certainly give Antonio Conte something to work with.”

Conte seems set to miss out on Romelu Lukaku as the Belgian striker inches ever close to joining his former club Juventus.

Paulo Dybala is likely to join United in the other direction, although La Joya has yet to accept a move to the Premier League.

“It’s a really strange story, I’m intrigued,” Beccalossi added.

“Dybala is still at the peak of his career. He’s quick and strong technically. His form dipped a little last year, perhaps because he lost some self-esteem.”
